Legal Ability Ratings are as follows: An AV ® Rating signifies that the lawyer has reached the heights of professional excellence. [B>General Recommendation Rating [/B> The General-Ethical Standards Rating covers adherence to professional standards of conduct and ethics, reliability, diligence and other criteria relevant to the discharge of professional responsibilities. The General Recommendation Rating is: An attorney will not receive a rating at all unless a "V" or General Recommendation Rating has been established. Then the attorney will receive a "CV", "BV", or "AV" rating based on the endorsement received.
